Why hello there again. I was mindlessly wasting my time on the internet(as usual) and I came across this rather peculiar device.

Poodwaddle.com

According to it, I'm actually only 12 and a half years old! So if you want, you can play around with it and post your results in the tag box or something. Let's see if Shaun is as old as he looks...

So anyway, to keep away from the movie topic, I'll give us all something to think about.

Discovering the mysteries of life,

Than a world where I've never heard of quantum physics, where Tan Sze Chuan fails his exams, where Rainy starts having conscious thoughts, where Shaun can run faster than me, when Daniel doesn't do his homework. Where the Sky is yellow, and the seas are orange. Or maybe the sun is a neon green, and the moon repels the earth. Maybe I'll be interested in linguistics, rather than science. Maybe science will be religion, and religion be something else. Where everything is different, but everything is still the same. The world is changing, and so must we. So must I, put some emphasis on that one. But we don't want to. Humans do not like the notion of change. We're all perfectly comfortable with our present lives. Rather, we want more, but we don't dare to try. But why should we want more? Why should we want to change? We all know that it's going to get harder, more challenging, and ultimately more depressing.

But honestly, it is inevitable. Why do we try so hard to stay with our present environments? Why are we so afraid to venture outward, to make a difference? Simply, we fear the unknown. Not so simply, humans have a tendency to tread the paths already beaten and worn. What do you call new technology? It's just old technology, with fancy parts added. What is the internet? Surely, such a complex web of information and communication has to be something totally revolutionary, but it's not. The internet is a glorified fax machine. It's just been amped up a little and given a nice cover to it. But it's this tendency to stay in the safe zone, which stops us from truly being who we are.

Still, that's another question. Who are we? What significance to we have in this world? Sometimes I think that I overreact to these things. I feel as if I mean nothing, one out of 6.6 billion human beings. If I just vanish off the face of the earth, would it matter? In my lifetime, am I going to bring humanity ahead one more step, or am I just going to waste our so very precious resources? Does humanity really need me? It doesn't seem so. But then again, I'm willing to bet that many famous, important people in this world once thought so. It's really impossible to imagine though. Try imagining... Your mom when she was a kid. It's not so easy, is it? And that's your mom, someone you grew up with.

I have honestly never gone through a day like this in my life. In the morning, I felt the best I've ever felt. The memories of the previous day, the feeling of a good rest. But then it all came crashing in the evening. I won't go into detail with that, since no one wants to hear me whine and complain. I don't know. I just hope that my ramblings gave you a little insight.

On a lighter note, here's another picture to amuse ourselves with:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Diana, Princess of Wales:
Starting in the mid- to late 1980s, the Princess of Wales became well known for her support of charity projects. This stemmed naturally from her role as Princess of Wales - she was expected to engage in hospital visitations where she comforted the sick and in so doing, assumed the patronage of various charitable organizations - and from an interest in certain illnesses and health-related matters. Owing to Public Relations efforts in which she agreed to appear as a figurehead, Diana used her influential status to positively assist the campaign against landmines, a cause which won the Nobel Prize in 1997 in tribute, and with helping to decrease discrimination against victims of AIDS.

It's me again, and I've found a little something that might interest you.

The Gender Genie

It's supposed to analyse your writing and guess whether you're male or female. It takes words that happen are supposed to be associated with certain genders. I don't really know how they choose those words, but it seems to work most of the time. All of my writing I tested showed male, though a couple of pieces were almost female.

And apparently, The Quaver is female, according to that post about Water.

'Course it's not entirely accurate. Just a little fun device to mess around with. So here we are with another happy image to amuse us all.

So here we are. What a great existence. This is your resident paradox-in-human-form. No idea why. It's probably because of my awesomeness.

So, anyway. I just had a battle with my CD tray. Wouldn't get in. The frustration, the anger. I also seem to have wasted 30 bucks. Add more frustration and anger. The heat, flowing through my body, rage pulsing through my veins. Pretty sure all of you have gone through a similar experience, be it a peer who has seriously wronged you, or someone who accused you of something you didn't do. Maybe it's just a bunch of retards who won't do what's obviously good for them. Well, it doesn't pay to get angry. Not most of the time. Anger only makes things more difficult. Still, I feel like a hypocrite. I get angry alot. Not many of you have seen it. But that's because not many of you are as annoying as a wasted $29.90. So, we all should remember that life is short.

So then, after we use the sadistic yet funny image over there to remind ourselves of the price of life, we should always remember that Star Wars is better than Star Trek. No srsly.

So here's an interesting .gif for everyone to amuse themselves to. It's because I lost my train of thought and I don't know what to say next.

Use the Force,
Joe

Many things begins with water. A human life consist of water, the basic building blocks of life. If there wasn't water, would we even exist?

Water moves in random motion, but are held together by strong forces. It can take up any form of shape. My point is that life is like a glass of water. The glass is us and the water is water. The glass can hold the water, but it cannot change its' shape like the water. It would shatters into a million pieces when drop to the ground. However, water still remains formless and assume whatever shapes it is in. Water would not be altered or changed by the shattering of the glass. We should all be like the water, being to adapt to different environment(continuous variation). Being like the glass may be good, staying firm to your old self. But being a glass would not bring you far in life. For those readers who read my blog, BE A WATER ADAPT AND BE A GLASS, know when to change.

Many a times, we don't see how similar are we to water. We are also changing like water. Every second, we changes just like how the water flows through the river.

A glass may be fragile, but certainly not weak. Love can be as strong as a glass, and as fragile as a glass. Why was it said, "If you give up on a relationship/friendship, like the bonds of the glass it become weak and fragile. If you maintain a relationship well, it would be as strong as a glass."

It has been a long time since I have last played Maple Story. Looking at those time I had in Maple Story, it was fun. I remembered, my highest pinnacle in the game was when I was in secondary2 (2005). I could say that I was obsessed then by this game. I practically played it throughout the whole day. But whats made me "hooked" to this game was mainly the simple, effective interface of the game. As those who plays Maple Story would know that it is a 2D (2Dimensional) game. When any player walk past you in a map, in the same channel, you could easily see him. Unlike in a 3D (3Dimensional) game where you have a 360 degrees of sight. Weird but true, I didn't make any friends in those 3D games I played. However, in Maple Story, its' 2D game has an impact on players interaction with each other. It was easier to make friends in the game. I seen many of my classmate and peers who had played the game and made lots of new friends in Maple Story. So, I too had made some friends in Maple Story. I think most of you would concur with my view!

In this 2D world, most of the people we meet are strangers. Most adults would be worried sick when their child played an online role-playing game, where their children get to interact with many diverse people. I do agree, that it there is a danger to get to know strangers online. I was actually relatively "lucky" if you might say. Those friends' which I had come to know in Maple Story, was around my age, so we do cling along quite well. Of course not forgetting playing Maple Story together, doing quest, training our character. It has been three long years that had past, since I started to play Maple story. I quited the game early last year. But the times I had with my maple friends' was nice and memorable. I would never forget those time i was "hooked" to Maple Story. However, as life go on, there will be less time for gaming as exams comes into the picture. I was glad that I had once played and made some new friends through gaming.

If anyone were to ask me what does online gaming mean to me, it means, "Playing a game with your good friends, enjoying that moment with your friends together." I would not want to regret. I want to look back at my younger days in future and say, "I had played well, and did the craziest thing in my life and enjoyed it."

Lets see how complicated everything has become since we were born. From the time we started to walk. It seems that every moment we have made something more complicated. It just puzzles me how much complication we tend to cling on to. From the simple friendship we had, it gets complicated. From the simple minded us, we think more and get stressed. From being a obedient kid, we get vulgar! HAH!

My reasons:
(Caution:It may not coincide with your views)
Firstly, not to blame anyone for our complication in terms of life and thoughts. I strongly feel that most of it is due to society changing rapidly and sometimes it is hard to keep up with.
Secondly, I think a kind of idea call, "No certificate = no future. Die liao!" What I am speaking may be untrue to some of you. But isn't all that we want is a simple life?
It is true to some degree that without a certificate these days, most of us would not be able to find a job. However, what about our interest. Have we neglected it for this paper we want to get so badly.
At times, I really wonder are we working and suffering more than our ancestors? Our ancestors had peaceful life in the wilderness, enjoyed their life. They had less stress than us supposedly. Furthermore, I think there is less carbon footprint then too. I'm not going to get all green now. I hope those who view the Quaver would enjoy it.
Don't a simple life look much better and easy to handle.

I have recently found out about this new language call "Esperanto". This language is unique as it does not belongs to any country specifically.

The followings are quotes from the website about this new language.

"What is Esperanto?

It's a language that is particularly useful for international communication.
Important traits of Esperanto
International: Esperanto is most useful for communicating among people of diverse nations who do not have a common mother tongue.
Neutral: It doesn't belong to one people or country, so it works as a neutral language.
Equal: When you use Esperanto, you feel more equal from a linguistic standpoint than when, for example, you speak Spanish with a native Spanish speaker.
Relatively easy: Thanks to the structure of Esperanto, it's usually much easier to master than other foreign languages.
Living: Esperanto evolves and lives just like other languages, and it can be used to express the most varied facets of human thought and emotion.

he idea of Esperanto is: the foundation of a neutral language will help break down barriers between people and help everyone see each other as neighbors. [L. Zamenhof, 1912]

The basic idea of Esperanto is about tolerance and respect for people of diverse nations and cultures. Communication is indeed the essential part of understanding each other, and if that communication happens through a neutral language, that can help the feeling that we 'meet' on equal grounds and respect for one another."

Ok thats the end of the quote. If your interested to learn this new language, go HERE!

The second part of this post is about a quiz i recently did.

Do we survive on food alone? Or something else? I recently heard someone say, "Music is like food". Music is indeed not like the food we know that provide us with energy, it does not provide us glucose and certainly neither does it provide us with unhealthy fats. However, music is rejuvenating to the mind and soul. It can clams one's nerve, make one excited. Music, is it like food? It can some way be called a food, it provide us with the energy that brightens up our mind. So what do you think? Is music like food?

Today is a nice day, metronome speed about 80 beats per second. A slow and cool pace. July the 19th 2007, there are two prime numbers today, july=7 and 19. Of the two prime numbers, 7 is the all time favourite prime number. 19 is a nice number, but rarely used. Have you notice how many nice days we had this month? First the seventh of july (7/07/07), next friday the thirteen (13/07/07), and now the 19th of july. How nice to have so many unique days with unique numbers this month. Oh and lets not forget seven eleven (11/07/07), thats special too, it is special because we associate it with the shop 7-11. Numbers are so beautiful. A simultaneous equation is the work of art, don't you agree? After all without numbers how would this world revolve? Numbers for counting apples, ducks, etc... Numbers for playing with, in board games etc.... Numbers that make up the computer , 0 and 1. 0111010101010010101001010101001010 ah! This whats making our computer run, haha! And not forgetting numbers in music, like one beat and how many beats, thats our numbers in music. And most importantly numbers to tell us what is the day! This concludes today july the 19th post on numbers.

The song for the day!
Tittle:First Love
Artist:Utada Hikaru

Quaver: One of her, Utada Hikaru greatest hit. Its' a japanese song, but that doesn't matter, this youtube video have subtittles of the english lyrics. The expression of the singer explains the song. Its meanings, the song value is priced by the singer, by how good it was sung. Many a times, its not the song alone, but the fusion of the singer and the song that makes music great. A very well sung song, with good expression and emotion put in. First love? Have you have had your first love? What would your first love be? Who will be your first loved person? Love blinds all.

A second post. The blog skin has yet to be completed. Many thanks to my classmate, Sze Chuan whose cousin is doing the blog skin. This blog skin stuff is complicated with all those coding, so I'm really grateful for her help too. Thanks to both of them.

A time in quaver:
We stop at half a seconds, and we don't know about it. We take a look at our watch, but how long have the seconds ticked in that minute we see. 1/2 the quaver, a quaver. Quaver is able to be controlled by this awesome tool, call the metronome. We can slow down the metronome for a slow steady pace, or speed up the speed and have a fast quaver. It would be great if our clock is controlled by a metronome. We can adjust the speed we want our day to be in. Speed of 40 beats per second or 250 beats per second. However, time is beyond what we can understand and control. Music too, is beyond what we understand. Music is not something that we can see or touch. It is mainly sound wave, but these waves form up those nice pleasant sound to the ear, how mystical is sound wave. And thus we end "The time of Quaver" by knowing that music is an abstract art that mystifies us.

A song for the day.
Tittle: Another day in paradise
Artist: Phil Collins

Quaver: This is relatively an old song. But it is a great song sung by phil collins, it would really make you ponder on how fortunate you are. Remember to hear the lyrics closely with an open heart, he really touches the heart with those lyrics. He is almost singing out a sad story. A great piece of music and art.
Quaver rating: *****(superb)(A song worth listening and getting emotional over)

Comments is welcome. We love comments!

Quaver having the value of half in musical terms. I belief it stands for many things, like this blog created maybe minutes ago, its only half finish. What would you say to an undone assignment? "Oh gosh! My assignment is half done, give me some more time, please teacher." What if possibilities of something happening is half, there are equal chances of it happening. The idea of half and quaver makes things such as probability so interesting, hard to predict. No doubt you have come to a blog where many possibilities are to be discovered.
